Hi, I’m Kerri (they/them)—editor and sci-fi nerd with a passion for queer stories.
I wrote my first short story, The Alien Star, when I was six years old, and I haven’t looked back since. Through years of reading, writing, and exploring other worlds—real and imagined—I found my passion: queer storytelling, specifically speculative fiction, and even more specifically science fiction.
I founded Prism & Orbit Editing because I believe queer voices deserve to take up space—in every genre, every format, and every corner of the galaxy. I’m here to help you bring your story to life.
Not writing a story, but working on something else? I’d love to edit that, too. Whatever you’re writing is important and deserves to shine as bright as a supernova.
Ready to tell your story? Let’s make queer magic happen.

queer-lived experience
As a non-binary queer, I understand how important it is to have queer stories told by queer people. As a queer editor, I handle your words with the respect and understanding they deserve.

testimonials
Kerri was great to work with on parts of my book. They got invested in the story and helped keep the original voice while providing some great opportunities to improve. The feedback they provided was thoughtful and made sense in the story. They offered different ways to workshop sections I was passionate about keeping and I would work with them again on my next project.
